Tasks

-Act as Engineer of Record for projects within their responsibility. -Job Site Visits to review installation or assess current conditions. -Oversee Engineers, Designers and Modeling staff assigned to team or project work. -Lead the Engineering CAC effort and interaction with the project PM. -Supervise the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other regulatory agencies -Perform Value Engineering studies. -Attendance at project design meetings with the overall Design Build Team. -Prepare and oversee work plans for engineering and production resources.

What You Bring

-The ability to oversee Electrical System Studies such as: Short Circuit, Overcurrent Protection, Arc Flash, Voltage Drop/Droop, and Underground Thermal Calculations. -Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences. -Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. -Field experience is strongly recommended. -Registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required for this position. -Effective oral and written communication skills. -Able to resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements). -Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred -Management skills are required, including work planning, resource management, fee development, staff oversight, staff development and advancement planning. -Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, Trade Partners and others -Great at problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail. -Possess the ability to understand project requirements and develop a design fee for the work requested. -Software Proficiency: -Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of Electrical Engineering "tenant fit-out" experience -Ability to communicate with Project Manager (PM) or Executive regarding effort required to accomplish an expected deliverables and project support.This may include developing requests for additional services for submittal to the PM or Owner. -Knowledge of electrical construction sufficient to understand how design packages will be built. -up to 15% (does not include local field visits) -Knowledge of engineering processes and calculations including load calculations, equipment layout, normal and emergency standby distribution, HV/MV distribution, lighting layout, lighting calculations, power and lighting controls, utility coordination, grounding, value engineering, applicable codes, and standards, is required. -Working knowledge of equipment and system testing and commissioning. -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary -Fluency with Building Codes and Local Codes in the local area of projects. -Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude -Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player. -General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. -The ability to analyze and resolve complex engineering problems. -The ability to assume responsibility, interface, and coordinate with others.
