Tasks

As a Senior Bid Manager in the Midlands, you will lead the end-to-end development of strategic tenders across multiple sectors, reporting at a senior level within the bidding function. Working closely with the Submissions Manager, Preconstruction team and Bid Writers, you'll manage the complete bid lifecycle from PQQ qualification through to post-bid review, ensuring submissions are innovative, fully compliant and commercially competitive. -Manage bid resources across departments, identifying and coordinating expertise required for live tenders and proposals -Lead and manage the full bidding process, developing high-quality, innovative and winning tender submissions across multi-sector projects -Maintain knowledge of industry news, competitor activity and client strategies -Support the Bid Writer and submissions team in developing tender response strategies and pre-qualification questionnaire answers -Manage tender deadlines and deliverables -Attend and hold PQQ and bid strategy meetings -Identify and manage main commercial and contractual risks within bids -Ensure all stages of the bid process are followed, documented and reported on -Guide multidisciplinary teams through tender development, ensuring compliance with client requirements and commercial competitiveness -Develop and communicate the company's bid proposition, ensuring consistent messaging and differentiation across tenders -Communicate effectively with clients and prospects, building relationships and understanding bid requirements to shape winning proposals

What You Bring

Are you an experienced Senior Bid Manager or Tender Manager in the Midlands looking for a strategic leadership opportunity in construction? -Strong stakeholder management and team coordination skills -Commercial awareness of competitor activity and industry trends -Understanding of commercial principles, contract risk and pre-qualification questionnaire compliance -Substantial background in construction bidding across multiple sectors, ideally with knowledge of healthcare, education, residential, commercial or infrastructure projects -Creative and innovative thinking skills -Excellent attention to detail -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex project information into compelling tender narratives -Proven experience as a Bid Manager, Tender Manager or Head of Bid with demonstrable success in winning major construction tenders -Ability to manage teams whilst managing multiple concurrent bids
