Tasks

-Team and vendor management: Planning and directing the work of IT staff, including analysts and developers, and negotiating with vendors to ensure high-quality performance. -Process and procedure development: Designing procedures for employees to follow for common IT issues, which can reduce support requests and improve efficiency. -Security and risk management: Establishing and maintaining processes to protect against IT security threats, managing data protection, and reducing the risk of legal or financial penalties from data breaches. -Data analysis and governance: Analyzing data to identify trends and inefficiencies, creating code to protect data, and implementing data governance policies to ensure data integrity and security. -System implementation and maintenance: Planning and directing the installation and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and other systems. This also includes performing diagnostics and restoring system operations when issues arise. -IT strategy and planning: Analyzing an organization's IT needs and developing plans to meet them. This can involve recommending upgrades, assessing project costs and benefits, and setting departmental goals.
