The Role
Overview
Design and plan medium‑voltage distribution systems for utility projects.

Tasks
-Reviews and/or prepares engineering-quality drawings suitable for construction -Assist with pole loading analysis calculations and equipment sizing for residential and commercial projects -Perform Distribution planning and design services for medium voltage (1kV to 35kV) overhead and underground power distribution systems -Provide technical oversight to solve complex problems with minimal supervision -Perform scope analysis of work assignments and maintain schedule adherence to align with client priorities -Review quality and accuracy of field notes and designs and work with stakeholders to resolve issues identified -Perform site visits to inspect, measure and verify designs

What You Bring
-Knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel --Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university is required -3+ years of experience in power utility industry -Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures -Must be able to report to the Cary, NC, office on a daily basis -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Distribution design QAQC/review experience -Demonstrated ability or experience with Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and Poleforeman
