The Role

Overview

Perform wall prep and painting maintenance for residential properties.

Tasks

-Apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile effects. -Responsible for daily clean-up of Maintenance Shop -Select premixed paints, or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors. -Spread drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and cover surfaces such as baseboards, door-frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. -Repair and/or prepare all wall and trim surfaces to include filing nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler. -Hang drywall, tape, and sand. -Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level. -Wash surfaces prior to painting with mildew remover where needed -Paint surfaces with brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers. -Assist in maintaining maintenance materials and supplies
