-Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and seek guidance when necessary. -Participate in design reviews and team meetings to ensure work aligns with project requirements. -Prepare basic design calculations in line with engineering principles, applicable codes, and industry standards (ASME, ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC). -Assist with the preparation of construction specifications, bills of materials, and quantity take-offs. -Create and update design sketches, CAD drawings, and technical documentation. -Support mechanical analysis of steel and concrete structures, foundations, and mechanical equipment. -Keep up to date with technical innovations, industry standards, and company procedures. -Assist in delivering mechanical engineering services that meet project, client, and regulatory requirements. -Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to support integrated project delivery.
-Familiarity with CAD software and 3D modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, or similar). -Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. -3+ years of relevant mechanical engineering, ideally within energy, industrial, chemical or process industries. -Professional Engineer (PE) license in West Virginia preferred, or ability to obtain shortly after hire. -Basic understanding of engineering principles, codes, and standards relevant to mechanical design. -Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. -Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
