  • Collaborate with TRC’s multi-disciplinary ECR team to provide support for engineering and environmental projects;
  • Provide on-site field support, including for emergency response activities, on an on-call or as-needed basis.
  • Independently supervise field work, including environmental assessments and investigations, site inspections, and subcontractor activities.
  • Prepare compliance and control plans, including Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, and Soil Management Plans; and grading and erosion and sediment control plans; and
  • Prepare technical reports, work plans, design documents, permit applications, and construction documents.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of health and safety practices and requirements.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven engineering experience, preferably in consulting. Experience with Brownfields and other remediation projects a plus.
  • A valid Connecticut driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel (typically 20 to 25%) throughout the US, primarily in New England; and
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, ESRI, and/or Hydro CAD a plus.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Successfully pass a drug test prior to employment or within 5 working days from date of hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited university.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred (required within 2 months from date of hire).
