CAD Drafter Trainee

Overview

Detail rebar/mesh shop drawings, manage projects, ensure safety, client liaison.

Tasks

-Review all changes and provide information for change orders. -May be asked to complete approximately two hours of assessments as part of the hiring process. -Pre-plan all projects for critical path, scope, and schedules. -Represent Nucor Rebar Fabrication & liaise between contractor, engineer, placer, and detailer. -Create shop drawing and manage projects specific to detailing. -Be involved with construction conflicts/disputes and provide timely, cost-effective resolutions. -Review and verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information.

What You Bring

-At least six months experience using CAD and Windows-based software. -Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. -We are looking for candidates who are committed to a drug-free environment. -Working conditions include walking/sitting/standing/bending and moderate noise level. -Physical demands require use of hands, vision & light lifting related to computer equipment. -Background & Drug Test are required at hire. -Ability to read technical drawings. -Develop basic knowledge of rebar & concrete reinforcing products.
