Tasks

-Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing, providing direction and support to CI Teams to exceed goals. -Review production requirements and adjust work schedules to meet objectives. -Develop metrics to improve daily and weekly efficiency, tracking performance through trending analyses. -Communicate and implement company initiatives and policy. -Develop the bench strength for our manufacturing teams. -Develop new, and track existing, cost savings and productivity improvement initiatives. -Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. -Effectively manage shift workers, including hiring, training, employee development, performance reviews, addressing disciplinary issues and resolving employee problems. -Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees. -Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and work with Quality resources to address variations. -Conduct weekly team meetings to promote improvement opportunities.
