Tasks

From your base in Kirkcaldy, you’ll establish connections with paper packaging suppliers across Europe, India and Canada. You’ll travel, negotiate and build strong, lasting relationships that keep the business agile and open to new opportunities. This isn’t about following someone else’s process. You’ll be shaping how Smith Anderson purchases paper and paper bags and developing the global procurement partnerships that will drive future growth. This role is about influence, not maintenance. You’ll be connecting their Scottish manufacturing base with a UK, European and global suppliers, sourcing, securing and building strategic partnerships that will drive growth for years to come.

What You Bring

You’ll bring experience in buying within manufacturing. Ideally this will be with paper, packaging or raw materials but what’s most important is that you will be commercially sharp, confident negotiating and have a strategic mindset for creating and building long-term supplier partnerships.
