Overview

Maintain and repair plant machinery/equipment at aggregate quarry and crushing operations

Tasks

-Change oil and filters on fixed and mobile machinery -Perform welding and cutting assignments, including fabrication for plant equipment and structures -Visually inspect and test plant machinery and equipment -Maintain plant equipment and facilities to meet operating requirements and objectives -Perform maintenance tasks on plant equipment and facilities -Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams -complete any part of the application process -Perform repairs to worn processing equipment according to plant standards -Inspect lubrication of mechanical equipment, record data for running equipment, take lab samples as required -Operate mobile heavy industrial equipment and/or company vehicles used to complete maintenance and perform other tasks involved in plant maintenance and operation as required -Work closely with plant operators, equipment operators, drivers and others in completion of assigned tasks -Perform manual/physical tasks required in plant operation and maintenance activities -Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required -Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle, and manipulate objects -access or use the online application process and need an alternative method for applying -Observe safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials accurately -Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies -Collect data for preventative and predictive plant maintenance projects

-Communicate professionally with others in person, over the phone, and on company radio channels -Regularly required to read and understand signage, labels, and written instructions -Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) -Ability to read and interpret signage and/or written instructions (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.) -Occasionally exposed to working from high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock -Solid mechanical skill related to industrial/plant equipment maintenance -Regularly required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl -Ability to interact professionally with others and clearly communicate information -Regularly required to stand/work on feet for long periods, and walk across uneven terrain -Mining environment; regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, airborne particles, fuel/chemicals, loud noise, moving equipment/parts, and vibration -Proficiency in operation of industrial and heavy equipment -Ability to problem-solve and recommend solutions -Proficiency with mobile devices and other technology used in daily operations -Valid drivers’ license with ability to maintain a clean driving history required -High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/tech school training a plus -Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance -3+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience with aggregate processing (crushing) equipment -Basic to intermediate welding skill -Ability to work in a team environment with general guidance and limited supervision -MSHA certification or ability to acquire certification required
