IT Network Engineer

Tasks

-Support of Layer 2 and 3 switches. -Install, support, and maintain next generation firewalls that protect internet points of presence, cloud solutions, intercompany traffic, and OT networks. -This role will be on call for network related escalations. -Develop and maintain detailed systems documentation including but not limited to architecture diagrams and process documentation for the environment. -Partner with internal Information Security team to adhere to policies and controls. -Install, support, and maintain the global SD-WAN and local LAN, partnering with internal resources to ensure high availability and effective capacity planning -Conduct technical analysis of software, hardware, and transmission of data between facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of effective and efficient network operations. -Maintain knowledge of industry technologies through training and self-improvement. -Perform daily support of global IT teams and services. -Provide technical expertise to analyze, troubleshoot and react to technical issues such as WAN\LAN outages or application issues in concert with all relevant parties involved, including but not limited to, internal and external third-party support vendors.

What You Bring

-Travel: approximately 10%. -2+ years of network support. -Experience in troubleshooting complex network issues. -Ability to work independently and manage remote support. -Experience in configuring firewall rules. -Analytical thinking to identify and resolve complex network issues. -Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant experience. -Cisco Networking (LAN and Wireless). -Experience troubleshooting with Wireshark or other network analysis tools. -Clear verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. -Fortinet and Cisco certification preferred. -Ability to handle a variety of geographically diverse network technologies. -Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, Fortinet SDWAN) -Proficiency with network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
