Tasks

-Analyzes customer requirements to create geospatial systems using industry-standard geospatial technologies such as ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, etc. -Reviews and optimizes geospatial data and applications for quality and performance. -Identifies new opportunities and challenges for GIS technology within an organization or industry sector. -Establishes geospatial architecture and processes to meet customer requirements. -Designs and develops geospatial solutions for business problems using GIS software and tools. -Provides guidance and mentorship for junior geospatial developers and analysts. -Works with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and deliverables. -Provides support and troubleshooting for software and hardware systems that are used by other departments within an organization. -Implements solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with transportation data and transportation GIS. -Experience with geospatial data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. -Proficiency with a programming language such as Python, JavaScript, R, etc. -GIS Professional certification (GISP) and/or GIS development experience. -Experience developing ESRI web products in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Portal, including Experience Builder, Operations Dashboards, and deploying custom apps and widgets. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 3 years of related experience, or -Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 2 years of related experience, or -Proficiency with common development tools such as git, IDEs, kanban/jira etc. -Knowledge of advanced geospatial concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, coordinate systems. -Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. -Working knowledge of enterprise architecture and environments for geospatial systems and data.
