Tasks

-Drive continuous improvement in financial operations, systems, and processes. -Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, and other departments on cross-functional projects and initiatives. -Provide technical accounting support on an ad hoc basis. -Lead and manage the Canadian Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Expense Management teams, ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. -Lead or support key initiatives, including refreshing the Consolidated Delegation of Authority. -Support internal and external audit processes and ensure strong internal controls. -Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing finance function. -Contribute to the preparation of presentation materials for AltaGas’ senior management and Board of Directors.

What You Bring

-Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment. -A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. -10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including 5+ years in a leadership role. -Strong understanding of financial operations, internal controls, cost allocations, and policy development. -Technical accounting experience in the Energy and Utilities sector. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. -A CPA designation (or equivalent).
