Overview

Fabricate, install and inspect sheet metal ductwork to spec, ensuring safety and quality.

Tasks

-Identify future requirements for setting out and communicate to Engineering team -Ensures that all Non Conformances are reported as required -Weekly review of small tools and plant list -Working to detailed Engineering drawings -Input into the production and delivery of Task Briefing Sheets and toolbox talks -Ensures that a culture of Right First Time is adopted in the Supply Chain -Ensures that the workforce have sufficient and correct information in terms of specification, workmanship, and finish -Where possible, adopts an innovative approach to enhancing safe systems of work -Ensure all tools are adequately maintained before use

What You Bring

-Understands and implements the requirements of Inspection and Test Plans -Awareness of Specifications and other Contract documents -Understanding of manufacturing tolerances -Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies -Understands material wastage allowances and able to suggest improvements to save materials -Manual skills and precision marking out of pre-cut (Guillotine/laser) sections of ductwork including Straight’s radius bends, square to rounds, tapers etc. -Level 3 NVQ fabrication /welding
