Weighbridge Operative

Overview

Operate the quarry weighbridge, process vehicle weights and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• order reporting
• cash sales
• material control
• ticket batching
• delivery docs
• transport routing

Tasks

-Reporting to the Sales Office any additional orders received or any shortfall in orders. -Undertaking cash sales transactions in accordance with Company procedures. -Ensuring that materials are not supplied to customers appearing on the Company Control Stop List. -At close of business for the day to batch tickets, record tonnages and forward documentation to the Sales Office. -Ensuring customers requirements are met and delivery dockets are correctly completed to ensure weight of vehicles are in compliance with the Road Traffic Acts. -Undertaking shipping and transport routing where required.

What You Bring

-Organisational and administrative skills. -Good level of customer service skills. -Previous experience in the Quarry industry or in a similar role would be advantageous. -Proficient in the use of IT systems. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
