Tasks

-Develop essential skills in equipment operation, maintenance, job site safety, project management, leadership, and Siemens Energy’s business systems alongside our leading FSE staff. -Collaborate with our global engineering team to conduct specialized mechanical and electrical testing, serving as the primary customer contact during outages to ensure timely and accurate repairs. -Supervise technicians and mechanics during power plant maintenance shutdowns, addressing both planned and unplanned outages due to equipment performance issues. -Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

What You Bring

-A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required, with 5+ years of demonstrated technical leadership in power plant or facilities maintenance and operations; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred. -A passion for solving complex mechanical problems using both your intellect and hands, while working closely with a team and customers to deliver exceptional service. -Willingness to travel extensively, with FSEs typically working up to 250 days per year for periods ranging from 2 to 15 weeks at a time. -Ability to work extended hours of up to 12-14 hours per day, including weekends and holidays, with a typical work week ranging from 60-84 hours. You should also be physically capable of ascending/descending ladders, examining equipment in confined spaces, and lifting boxes weighing up to 40 pounds. -Complete comprehensive 12 month classroom and lab training in Orlando, followed by hands-on experience with expert engineers at various customer sites across the U.S.
