Tasks
You will work closely with internal stakeholders across HR, IT, and Finance, as well as managing our external AMS (Application Management Services) partner to deliver timely support, enhancements, and strategic improvements. Your responsibilities will span day-to-day system administration, ticket triage, sprint planning, and product backlog management and delivery all in support of a high-performing HRIS. Reporting to the The Head of HR, the Lead Workday Specialist will be hands-on and detail-oriented to take ownership of our Workday platform. As the primary point of contact for all Workday-related activity across the business, you will play a critical role in maintaining, optimising, and evolving our Workday environment to meet business needs. -Manage role-based security and user access in line with data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR). -Serve as the primary system administrator and subject matter expert for Workday across all key modules (HCM, Recruitment Absence, Time Tracking, Talent). -Develop and maintain dashboards and custom reports to provide actionable insights to HR and business leaders. -Act as the first point of contact for internal Workday queries and support tickets, ensuring accurate triage and resolution. -Maintain and prioritise the product backlog; ensure that business-critical issues and feature requests are appropriately captured, defined, and delivered. -Own the configuration and maintenance of Workday across relevant modules, including implementing business process changes and new functionality. -Monitor Workday’s bi-annual release cycles and lead the adoption of new features, including testing, stakeholder communication, and change management. -Lead and coordinate agile delivery cycles including sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups (as needed) with internal teams and the AMS provider. -Participate in governance processes for Workday changes, ensuring documentation, version control, and approvals are consistently applied. -Manage the relationship with our external Workday AMS provider, overseeing ticket escalations, enhancement requests, and service performance. -Support regular data audits and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of HR data. -Identify opportunities to automate processes, eliminate manual tasks, and enhance the employee experience.

What You Bring
-Familiarity with agile delivery practices including sprint planning and backlog management. -Understanding of Workday release management, change governance, and test cycles. -Experience supporting global or multi-entity Workday environments. -Proven experience working with external Workday partners or AMS providers. -Familiarity with Workday reporting tools, calculated fields, and advanced report writing would be advantageous. -Excellent attention to detail, with strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. -Experience managing and resolving system support tickets and user queries in a timely, structured manner. -Solid understanding of HR processes, data flows, and information security standards. -Ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions. -Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and audit support. -Strong, hands-on experience administering and configuring Workday, particularly within the HCM module.
