Overview

Supervise self-performed heavy civil infrastructure construction projects.

Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Direct project oversight on EPC related projects where the work was self-performed by your current employer at the time. Strong safety and quality committment and record on your projects. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

What You Bring

-10+ years’ experience in the construction industry, with at least 5+ years in a supervisory/superintendent role, overseeing self-performed construction. Highschool degree/GED is required -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity with a passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt -Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. -Ideal candidates have broad background with self-perform construction Heavy Infrastructure projects (that could include major highway infrastructure projects, bridge projects, rail/transit, aviation, water/wastewater). Experience supervising site prep, mass grading/excavation, cut and fill, drainage, paving, underground piping and utility work, earthwork, site development, concrete form work, asphalt paving, and related activities is required. -Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills , team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives -Regular, reliable attendance -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Must be able to read and interpret drawings, plans, specifications, and have a fluent understanding of contract documents. Strong organization, time management and attention to detail. -Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance. Experience training and developing your crew. Must be willing to relocate/and or travel. -Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative, excellent problem solver, with strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time -Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents.
