The Role
Overview
Provide trauma-informed support to domestic abuse survivors in hospital settings.

Tasks
-Maintain accurate case records and contribute to internal and external reporting. -Deliver training and awareness sessions to hospital staff to improve understanding of domestic abuse. -Work within a multi-agency framework, including MARAC, safeguarding teams, and statutory services. -Collaborate with external partners including police, social care, housing providers, and voluntary agencies. -Respond to referrals from clinicians and provide timely, effective interventions. -Provide emotional and practical support, including safety planning and advocacy across housing, health, legal, and welfare systems. -Hold a caseload of survivors and conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments (DASHH). -Help shape future service delivery and improve outcomes for vulnerable individuals. -Attend Child Protection and MARAC meetings and represent clients in court when needed.

What You Bring
-Ability to manage a complex caseload and work effectively in crisis situations. -Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with a commitment to empowering survivors. -Experience working in multi-agency settings and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. -Proficient in casework, report writing, and using Microsoft Office. -Knowledge of criminal justice and civil remedies, safeguarding protocols, and housing legislation. -Strong understanding of domestic abuse dynamics, including harmful practices and trauma-informed care. -Knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding responsibilities. -GCSEs (Maths & English A*-C) or equivalent. -Experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those with complex or multiple needs. -Understanding of cultural sensitivities and barriers faced by survivors from diverse backgrounds. -Relevant qualification or training in domestic abuse, social work, law, or criminal justice (e.g. SafeLives).
