The Role

Overview

Develop and lead electrical designs for power generation, renewables, BESS and substations.

Tasks

-Review and integrate vendor drawings and provide electrical engineering input on interdisciplinary designs. -Determine substation and motor control center loading and equipment sizing. -Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance to the team. -Support scope development, procurement documentation, and construction packages. -Develop conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, and cost studies for electrical systems. -Perform engineering calculations such as voltage drop, load flow, fault current, arc flash, conduit/tray fill, and protective device coordination. -Conduct fieldwork for data collection, verification, construction support, and commissioning/startup activities.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required, 3D desirable), Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite. -Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently or within cross-functional virtual teams. -Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. -Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred. -Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial or EPC projects. -Experience with electrical power system modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) is a plus. -Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable industry standards.
