Overview
Design and develop electrical hardware, firmware, and testing for commercial products.

Tasks
-Develop circuits for circuit protection, GFCI, ELCI, lighting, transfer switches and other products. -Candidates must think creatively to identify which components or designs would work best to construct the product while maintaining cost-effective measures that benefit the company. -Perform and participate in DFMEA. -Prepare and maintain documentation and use configuration management system for keeping records of schematics, test results, changes, etc. -Follow engineering processes. -Create and perform verification tests based on product requirements and regulatory agency requirements such as UL, IEC, and FCC. -Develop design specifications and derived requirements based on applicable regulatory agencies and customer requirements. -Perform design reviews and product cost out analysis. -Balance design based on cost, requirements, and time to market. -Develop firmware for products such as AC power monitors. -Support product through lifecycle and supply chain issues. -Create manufacturing in-process test requirements and test sets as required.

What You Bring
-Experience in power electronics and VFDs is a plus. -Able to work sitting in front of a computer for long hours at a time. -Some knowledge of Electrical codes and wiring diagrams. -Working knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc. -Analog circuit design. -Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision. -Some knowledge of Bluetooth and other wireless communication. -Proficient in C programming. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2-4 years experience. -Must work well within an interdisciplinary team consisting of mechanical, manufacturing, quality and other Engineers. -Experience designing to meet UL listing requirements. -Fluent in design, prototyping, debugging, testing, and bringing products to manufacturing.
