ITS Systems Manager

Overview

Lead design, operation, and maintenance of large-scale traffic ITS systems in Doha.

Tasks

-Mentor and guide the team members, fostering a collaborative and continuous learning environment. -Lead cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and improvements, architecture rationalization, establish roadmaps, and execute on high-impact projects. -Develop and enforce best practices for system design, monitoring, and maintenance, ensuring robust documentation and compliance with industry standards. -Drive incident management and response processes to meet contractual SLAs, conducting post-mortems to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences. -Close management of the subcontractors that are in charge of the maintenance and operational availability of the Traffic Control and Monitoring systems. -Architect and implement advanced systems solutions that align with strategic, organizational goals and customer needs -Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies to enhance system efficiency and reliability.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks for service management -Expertise with Video Management, Network Management Systems and Advanced Traffic Management Systems. -Expertise in system monitoring tools and incident response platforms. -Good knowledge in container orchestration tools for Information Systems Architecture -Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines -Exceptional problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset. -Relevant certifications in the IT Management Systems domain -Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar -Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams (internal and subcontractors) and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. -Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and query optimization. -Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on building and nurturing high-performing teams. -Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. -A proactive and adaptable approach to managing change in a fast-paced environment. -Experience with tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency. -Minimum of 10 years’ experience preferably in the Transportation systems space with a proven track record in leading the maintenance and enhancement of large-scale IT systems, ideally in the Middle East region -Strong understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and system architecture.
