Overview

Conduct material testing and characterization using XRD, SEM, XRF, and microscopy.

Tasks

-Collaborate closely with cross-functional R&D and engineering teams, offering technical insights to support material innovation and product development projects. -Interpret and report findings through detailed technical documentation, highlighting data trends and providing actionable recommendations. -Travel to project sites or client locations as needed to perform on-site analyses, consultations, and troubleshooting. -Utilize analytical techniques including X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Optical Microscopy for comprehensive material analysis. -Conduct metallographic sample preparation and material characterization to evaluate microstructures, phase distributions, and other critical properties. -Perform coating characterization to assess thickness, composition, uniformity, and performance of coatings on diverse materials. -Ensure precision and reliability of results by maintaining, calibrating, and optimizing analytical instruments and laboratory procedures.

What You Bring

-Proficiency with XRD, SEM, XRF, and Optical Microscopy for material evaluation and characterization. -Ability to interpret complex data and provide concise and clear insights -Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and best practices. -Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience in technical reporting. -Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in material characterization and metallographic analysis. -Demonstrated analytical skills and strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. -Willingness to travel for project and client needs. -Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
