Tasks

-Coordinate with clients and sub-consultants -Prepare specification packages -Prepare roadway plan set components including plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheets -Develop and mentor roadway staff -Coordinate with other engineering disciplines in a team environment -Serve as a hands-on, project based, Roadway Lead for our East Gulf projects providing roadway discipline leadership, technical expertise, and roadway design production oversight -Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates

What You Bring

-A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) -20+/- years experience -Experience with DOT’s on Major Highway and Interstate projects -Competent with MicroStation -Valid driver’s license -Alternative Delivery design experience required -OpenRoad Design experience preferred -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines -Licensed PE (Alabama and/or Tennessee preferred) -Leadership and Team Building experience
