Assistant Cost Manager

Overview

Assist senior QS team with cost management for £1m‑£20m projects.

Tasks

-Preparation of monthly cost reports -Evaluate the cost of building designs and alternative proposals -Advise upon contract terms and the preparation of building contract documentation -Building relationships with clients, consultants and contractors -Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts -Develop skills that will enable you to provide single point of contact taking responsibility for all aspects of a project -Assist with the preparation of cost estimates -Assist with the preparation, issue, evaluation and reporting of tenders -Agreement of monthly valuations -Assisting with the day-to-day delivery of projects -Attending and being actively involved in client and contractor meetings

What You Bring

-Experience in report writing -Relevant degree in a quantity surveying, or similar, RICS accredited course -Experience of relevant QS Software applications, CostX, Bluebeam etc…is desirable -Good communication skills -Working towards MRICS status, or a desire to commence -Experience using Microsoft Office software
