Tasks

-Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project’s agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract Management -Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations -After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules -Directs negotiation in the commitment of subcontracts -Conforms and ensures subcontract execution -Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially -Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures -Develops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assigned -Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the customer and contractor on all contractual matters -Coordinates bidders’ questions and answers to those questions -Prepares subcontract documents for execution -Manages assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties -Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders -Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, and other major matters -Manage moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement -Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders

What You Bring

-Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups. -Proficiency in all phases of the formation and award of large, moderately complex contracts. -Experience with managing different contract types, fee arrangements and contract terms.Knowledge of law, negotiations, accounting or cost engineering gained through education or experience. -Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices and supply chain requirements, policies, procedures and work practices.
