The Role

Overview

Assemble, integrate, test optical inter-satellite link systems and manage lab operations.

Tasks

-Execute test procedures and record results with high attention to detail. -Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution. -Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures. -Work closely with engineering teams to support product development and testing. -Perform assembly, integration (including fiber splicing), and testing of optical communication systems. -Support laboratory operations and maintain test equipment. -Build and test first article units. -Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (preferred). -Experience with precision alignment of optical components. -2+ years of experience in optical systems or related technical field. -Experience with optical communication systems. -Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. -Associate's degree in Electronics, Photonics, or related technical field. -Proficiency in creating technical documentation and procedures. -Knowledge of clean room protocols. -Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. -Experience in aerospace or satellite communications. -Experience in opto-mechanical systems. -Familiarity with laser safety procedures.
