Overview
Test raw/finished materials, ensure specs compliance, operate & maintain lab equipment.

Tasks
-Approve raw materials and finished goods for use. -Adhere to safety guidelines within the workplace. -Determine physical values of materials and ensure chromatographic compliance as per Quality Control procedural manuals. -Perform various tests, including pH, specific gravity, refractive index, titrations, GC (Gas Chromatography), and micro plating. -Conduct sensory quality testing, including smell and taste, ensuring no allergies interfere. -Calibrate instrumentation and perform preventive maintenance as detailed in technical manuals. -Report discrepancies to the Quality Control Manager and assist in determining their origin.

What You Bring
-Skills in color matching and wet chemistry. -Knowledge of lab equipment and GMP practices. -Understanding of chemistry and mixing of chemicals. -Technical ability to operate GC and perform maintenance of lab instrumentation. -Strong organizational skills. -Experience in food science, chemistry, or biochemistry. -1-3 years of QC experience within the flavors, fragrances, food, or similar industry. -Problem-solving and creative thinking abilities. -Degree in a relevant field.
