Tasks

-Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems -Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments -Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities -Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials -Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements -Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees -Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans -Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment -Handling heavy loads -Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people -Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools -Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers -Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware -Provides physical accessibility accommodations (for example: ramps, elevators, etc.)
