Survey Technician

Overview

Prepare boundary survey descriptions, maps, and topographic data for projects.

Tasks

-Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps -Compare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of data -Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information -Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notes -Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans

What You Bring

-5-10 years of survey experience -Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients -Level II Certified Survey Technician certification -Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs -Strong communication skills both oral and written -Surveyor-in-Training certification by the Arizona Board of Land Surveying, or -CADD experience is required and DOT experience is a plus
