The Role
Overview
Lead and expand Pivot Energy's project management team for solar & storage projects.

Tasks
-Work with O&M and Asset Management teams to ensure smooth transitions into operations -Create systems and enforce expectations of the team to clearly and rapidly communicate all project statuses, risks, and key decisions -Own external communications and diligence with financial partners, working closely with the Project Finance team and partners to adhere to deadlines and reporting requirements -Contracting and construction of Energy Storage assets -In collaboration with other leaders of the company, set the business direction and strategy for the project management team -Develop, execute, monitor, report, and revise internal project standards, policies, guidelines, and objectives as needed -Support training and development of staff expertise in core functional areas -Coordinate with internal Project Development and Finance teams to understand project portfolio timing and challenges -Develop sector expertise, serving as the construction market expert in the company and training team members on responsibilities to protect the company’s interests and reputation -Cultivate and manage relationships with new and existing subcontractors through exceptional project delivery and collaboration -Ensure compliance with all of the company’s policies and procedures -Evaluate individual and team performance and provide direction and development to team members -Interface with Preconstruction and Contracts team to establish best practices, review subcontractor qualifications, bid reviews, contract award, and negotiations as needed -Coordinate with Engineering and Procurement teams to establish strategies, planning, and resource requirements to support the overall project pipeline -Support proposals and/or presentations related to other business efforts such as RFPs -Manage prime EPC contracts, driving high performance by subcontractors and enforcing the company’s rights and obligations, resulting in well-built, on-time, and on-budget projects

What You Bring
-Comprehension of solar cost structure and financial modeling -Experience in EPC contract negotiations and management -Honesty – Be truthful and transparent, externally and internally -Experience delivering small-scale utility projects into operation -8+ years’ experience in solar construction and delivery roles -Extensive knowledge of renewable energy construction assemblies, components, and sequencing of construction activities -Experience managing multiple nationwide project portfolios and delivering over 100MW annually into operation -Proven track record in developing highly competent, engaged, and efficient teams of construction professionals -PMP designation or equivalent project management experience -Demonstrated leadership skills, collaborative, highly positive outlook, flexible, and team-building experience -An advanced degree is a plus -5+ years of relevant business and leadership experience -Ability to navigate complex interconnection challenges and advance projects through utility processes
