Tasks

-Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks -Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with Monarch safety policy -Abide by Monarch code of conduct at all times -Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables -Maintain job site as instructed by Foreman. Possible duties include, but are not limited to: mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging and hand pruning -Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions

What You Bring

-Basic hand pruning skills -Safe operation of equipment, including: 21” and 36” mowers; power hedge shears; power shears; backpack blower; aerator -Basic understanding of plant ID -Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk -Must be able to see at close vision, distant vision, in color, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus -Frequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balance -Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls -Ability to communicate effectively with crew lead and other crew members -Valid driver license issued by the state where employed preferred but not required -Commercial landscape experience preferred, but not required -Strong commitment to high quality of work and customer service -Basic skill in shearing shrubs and hedges -Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds -Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required -Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
