Tasks

-Analyses the control and monitoring system functional behavior, which may include modelling and simulation, to demonstrate that the design meets the requirements -Produce clear and concise reports where required to document the work carried out -Liaises with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, customers, and operators to understand the full system and its use to facilitate effective control system design -Review and agree control and monitoring system requirements including their testability -Methodically troubleshoot software and hardware control system issues and be able to clearly communicate corrective actions in a timely manner -Prepare presentations and present technical material to a variety of engineering and non-engineering audiences -Design and implement control and monitoring systems to meet the customer requirements and associated standards

What You Bring

-Able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10% -PhD in degree in in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering -Proficient in design and analysis tools, such as Matlab, Simulink, JMP, etc. -Master’s Degree in in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, OR -Comfortable working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment or as a sole contributor on identified projects -Knowledge of gas turbine engines, generators, and the control of these systems -In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen -Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 1+ years of systems engineering experience, OR -2+ years of controls systems experience -Knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving techniques -Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage tasks to completion ensuring that the relevant areas of the business are appropriately informed
