Overview

Supervise CNC woodworking machines, program operations, and manage production schedules

Tasks

-Develop 6-axis capabilities with the Robot Drive for machining free-form elements, including running other CAM software and developing technique to allow this CAM software to speak to the Robot Drive -Establish required tooling for machining operations -Work with 3D teams to establish efficient processes for creating CAM/DfMA friendly detailing and connection typologies -Develop algorithms / macros for automatic detailing according to CNC requirements -Use Cambium to create overall production scheduling both up- and down-stream of CNC machine -Create schedules for release of 3D files for fabrication -Train and supervise other CNC operators for multiple shift operation -Liaise with Hundegger for troubleshooting and general development -Develop processes and standard operating procedures for efficient storage of CAM files and job orders -Develop “Fabrication Package” requirements for release of information from the design office -Create machining schedules and conduct bottlenecking analysis to optimize use of CNC up-time -Commission on Hundegger Robot Drive -Develop 3D transfer from CAD (HSB) to Cambium -Develop Cambium macros for efficient machining

What You Bring

-Based at 1929 Foy Street, Abbotsford, BC, V2T 6B1 -Completion of two year diploma in carpentry/joinery is an asset -Reliable, punctual, responsible and dependable -English language is required -Must have 5 years’ experience with CNC woodworking machine operation, including minimum 3 years’ experience operating a Hundegger Robot Drive workstation in a mass timber environment. -Must have more than 2 years’ experience in CNC programming of a Hundegger Robot Drive -Knowledge in work preparation (HSB Cad)

Benefits

-40 hours per week -Salary range: $34-$40/hour, depending on experience -Benefits include overtime in accordance with BC ESA, 10 days of vacation time per year, extended health, life insurance, disability insurance and matching RRSP after two years.
