Tasks

-Provide mentorship to earlycareer and midlevel staff, with potential opportunities for direct supervision. -Assist with preparing work plans, assembling project team, delegating tasks and ensuring compliance with scope and timely completion of tasks. -Lead permitting efforts at the local, state, national, and federal level including agency coordination with United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), following NEPA, Endangered Species Act (ESA), and Clean Water Act (CWA), etc compliance. -Initiates, prepares and reviews proposals, including fee estimation, project setup and execution of work with senior management assistance. -Support projects and key client relationships—from residential and commercial permitting, mitigation/conservation banking, water resources, transportation, natural gas pipelines, Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facilities, solar facilities, and other energy related projects. -Lead teams that collect and report on tasks that include, wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat characterizations, land use mapping and vegetation cover classification, and other natural resourcefocused surveys. Coordinate agency communications, oversee technical assessments, and guide project teams through successful execution. -Establishes and maintains quality assurance plans and safety plans for assigned projects.

What You Bring

-Demonstrated leadership in striving to continuously improve technical performance. -Solid knowledge of environmental compliance requirements as they relate to public and private infrastructure (transportation, renewable energy, and oil/gas/energy) projects. -Experience in managing and providing environmental consulting services to project developers in support of project siting, design, and permit applications. -Working knowledge of agencies including BIA, BLM, USACE, USFWS, State DNR/DEP/DEQ/DOT, FHWA, FAA. -Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or other applicable professional environmental certification, preferred. -Working knowledge of FERC and FERC permitting processes is preferred. -Requires flexibility to travel as needed for project and fieldwork. -Demonstrated ability in collaborative problemsolving with stakeholders, clients, and teammates. -Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental science, biological resources or closely related field. -Thorough understanding of technical environmental impact analysis methods and sound knowledge of NEPA requirements and related environmental regulations (Section 401, 402, and 404 of the Clean Water Act). -Local, state, and Federal compliance and environmental permitting experience required. -Minimum of 8 years’ experience providing or managing technical services in a professional services setting, preferable in the Gulf Region (TX, OK, LA, MS, AR). -Demonstrated experience or willingness to manage multiple projects and ability to motivate self and others to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. -Demonstrated skill and commitment to QA/QC practices.
