Commercial Roofing - Superintendent

Tasks

-Ensure that the specifications shop drawings and scope of work are being followed exactly. -Ensure that all materials are installed with correct adhesives and fasteners in the correct fastening pattern. -Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines. -Monitor job progress and resolve issues proactively. -Plan, organize, and oversee multiple commercial roofing projects simultaneously. -Ensure that all material is stored and installed within the correct environmental conditions. -Track material usage, labor costs, and project financials. -Inspect substrates at the time of the visit and ensure that all is acceptable before installation of roof system. -Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management. -Ensure that all materials on the job meet the requirements of the construction docs including but not limited construction plans, shop drawings, and/or manufacturer printed instructions. -Ensure that all materials are installed with the correct lapping, jointing, and staggering as required -Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and building codes. -Review contracts, specifications, and drawings to ensure project compliance. -Ensure that all materials are properly secured and protected at the jobsite. -Support and mentor field leaders (superintendents, foremen). -Conduct site visits to ensure safety and quality standards are met. -Ensure that all materials are installed at the correct heat and rate, as required. -Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.) preferred. -Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. -5–7 years of commercial roofing or construction management experience. -Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions. -OSHA 30 certification preferred. -Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and schedules. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but experience may substitute. -Strong knowledge of TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and metal roofing systems.
