The Role
Overview
Estimate electrical UPS projects and manage them from kickoff to closeout.

Tasks
-Perform detailed electrical take-offs and prepare labor, material, and equipment cost estimates. -Review and analyze bid documents, drawings, and specifications. -Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing. -Track project budgets, process change orders, and support invoice approvals. -Develop value engineering options and cost-saving alternatives. -Collaborate with engineers, procurement, and field teams to ensure constructability and scope accuracy. -Prepare and present professional bid proposals to management and clients. -Maintain strong client relationships by proactively communicating and resolving issues. -Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, and cost tracking. -Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes on all projects.

What You Bring
-Proficiency with estimating tools such as EBM ( Electrical Bid Manager), Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and Microsoft Excel. -Travel requirements depend on the company's travel support needs (possibly up to 15% travel if needed). -Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems. -Self-motivated person who can operate independently and can play well in a high-growth environment. -Journeyman or Master Electrician license (state-dependent) -Knowledgeable in all areas of electrical installation, including a working knowledge of contract documents, project estimates, construction, and maintenance specifications. -A successful track record with demonstrated capability to lead and drive process improvements. -Customer Service experience and a previous customer-facing role are preferred. -Excellent communication and networking skills. Analytic, accurate, and focused style of work. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel) is required. -Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects -Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work. -Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus -Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required.
