The Role

Overview

Lead wiremen conduct wiring, terminations, panel builds, and guide teams on substation projects.

Tasks

-Reads prints, uses standard hand and power tools, follow specific work instructions while adhering to all Safety and Human Performance fundamentals. -Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions -Manages, mentors and coaches employees -Install process piping and instrumentation -Installs components per layout drawings -Inspect, test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment in generating stations, substations, and in-service relays. -Communicates job expectations and monitoring with employee base

What You Bring

-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) -Ability to communicate effectively in English (inclusive of reading and writing) due to the nature of safety-related materials, documentation, and interactions with clients. -Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables -Wires from point-to-point or schematics -Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in installation of high voltage components, perform wiring, including control panels, control houses and process modules. -Valid Driver’s license and good driving record -High School Diploma or Equivalent -Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
