The Role

Overview

Lead design & management of water infrastructure and mining projects.

Tasks

-Perform site visits related to job scoping and coordinate with survey crews, Geotech, etc. -Follow internal and/or client procedures and standards. -Develop technical specifications and bid documents for public water/wastewater facilities and systems. -Manage project schedule and budget relating to design delivery. -Lead a design team as well as provide guidance to EIT’s and design technicians. -Provide design, and consulting services related to private and/or municipal drinking water/wastewater, erosion and sediment control and stormwater best management practices from planning through construction. -Coordinate, plan and obtain permits with Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Safe Drinking Water. -Support projects that have been impacted by perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

What You Bring

-Drinking Water / Wastewater Treatment and process experience. -Experience with municipal funding, bidding and contract procedures. -Experience in PA funding application and administration process (ie. PennVEST, CDBG, DCED, etc.) -Licensed Professional Engineer in PA. Ability to get other states as needed. -B.S. in civil or environmental engineering or related field. -Devise innovative and creative solutions to problems encountered. -10-20 years of experience as a Professional Engineer. -Understanding of PFAS regulations and treatment methods focused on Drinking Water. -Experience in Bid and Construction Contract Administration -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Experience working in water treatment facilities, water/wastewater collection systems, water pumping stations, active mining operations, mine reclamation and abandoned mine remediation. -Public Water/Wastewater design and permitting experience. -Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and AutoCAD/Civil 3D. -Land Development, site grading, and storm drainage experience. -Experience working with Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Safe Drinking Water, Regional NPDES Permitting Coordination and Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation. -Ability to work as a team player, take direction, and interact well with others.
