The Role

Overview

Operate high‑speed cable packaging line, inspect, pack, and load products for shipment.

Tasks

-Verifies that the product conforms with the packaging requirements stated in the engineering specifications and to any other special customer instructions prior to release for shipment. -Always complies with company safety rules during working hours and ensures the safety of himself/herself and others at his/her operating station. -Verifies that there is no physical damage to the cable product, packaging material and/or reel. -Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated. -Weigh work center scrap, including bare balances, complete scrap tag requirements, including scrap reporting and transport it to a designated area. -Clear hold tags (non-conforming product) as instructed to meet internal/customer specification and interact with Quality Control to verify product conformance. -Generates product identification tags for finished product and maintains accurate record keeping of all pertinent information required by Hendrix -Terminate cable ends when required. -Loads trucks in conformance with the shipping requirements stated on the work order and/or the -Schedule and complete work assignments in accordance with customer due dates to meet -Operation of high-speed packaging line equipment. -Visually inspects all empty take-up reels for proper size, strength, appearance and inside of flanges for foreign material that could cause damage to the finished product produced.

What You Bring

-Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry. -Experience in the wire & cable industry a plus. -Read micrometers and other related precision tools. -ISO requirements pertaining to the lines. -Hendrix standards, as applicable. -Material handling techniques. -Communicate effectively to receive and pass on information and instructions. -High voltage testing and fault location. -Mechanical aptitude regarding line operation and troubleshooting of basic line problems. -Understands the safety issues associated with chemicals, the high-speed packaging line, high voltage testing and various tools used in the work area. -Fulfill simple computer tasks
