Senior Urban Designer – Master Planning

Overview

Design and lead large‑scale mixed‑use masterplan projects for Dubai developments

Tasks

-Engage with clients and stakeholders; present ideas clearly, defend design decisions, handle feedback -Provide urban design vision: public realm, streetscapes, open spaces, land use strategies, circulation / mobility networks -Stay updated on trends in urbanism, sustainability, and digital tools (GIS, smart city, etc.) -Monitor project schedules, costs, quality; identify risks and propose solutions -Mentor and review the work of junior designers; foster knowledge sharing -Prepare compelling presentations, reports, feasibility studies, and design documentation -Prepare masterplan feasibility design studies -Conduct and supervise site analysis: context, climate, infrastructure, topography, existing fabric, view corridors, accessibility -Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (landscape, civil, structural, transportation, environmental, etc.) and external consultants -Produce high-quality visualizations: hand sketches, digital renders, diagrams, 3D modelling -Ensure compliance with Dubai / UAE planning regulations, codes, sustainability standards

What You Bring

-Good knowledge of planning codes, sustainability standards, transit / mobility / infrastructure integration -Should have at least 8 years total experience in urban designing -Strong portfolio demonstrating large-scale masterplans, mixed-use developments, public realm design, infrastructure coordination -Proficiency in design & visualization software: AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modelling tools; GIS skills are an advantage -Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or equivalent; a postgraduate qualification is preferred
