  • Coordinate and track leadership activities, actions, initiatives, and progress.
  • Assist our Principal team with opportunity identification and updates.
  • Engages in collaborative problemsolving and creative strategy sessions to develop solutions that address client and community challenges.
  • Facilitate and support preparation and writing for blogs and external collateral working with promotions and communications teams. Engage the practitioners to carry out speaking opportunities / white papers and blogs to improve their digital presence.
  • Work closely with and proactively support all principals across Alberta in both Architecture and Engineering. Understand our different skill sets across the team from principals and support the identification of the potential gaps in talent in contrast to market observations.
  • Participate in relevant site visits, client meetings, and regional events to gather ontheground insights that inform business development strategy and storytelling.
  • Contributes to pitch development and storytelling efforts that demonstrate Stantec’s innovative approaches, and participates in projectrelated presentations, panels, and speaking engagements where needed that highlight expertise, creative solutions, and community impact.
  • Undertake and support Business Development analytics by engaging with business analytics team and principals to provide sectorspecific insights for Western Canada. Align practitioners with leadership across AB and western Canada to leverage findings from market analytics.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing of market intelligence and networking opportunities across disciplines and regions. Identify and develop connections that link individuals with specific sector expertise, both within Stantec’s internal practice and that externally. Support the principal group by identifying key client decisionmakers through direct/indirect networking further build the business line’s rapport with them collaboratively. Utilize these relationships to expand clients’ understanding of our team’s relevant expertise to effectively sell our services and expand our business.
  • Support annual Business Planning by conducting research on clients, understanding trends in the market, and competitors. Identify areas where Stantec can provide tailored solutions and become a trusted advisor. Analyze competitors’ strategies and market positioning to enhance our business competitiveness.
  • Support all business development functions for key account managers and Principals.
  • Identify opportunities to attract and retain highperforming individuals to support cross BC sector and business line growth.
  • With the input from principals, offer guidance on the implementation of a clientfocused account management plan to practitioners so that they best identify and address specific client needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle and organize multiple priorities and assignments in an organized manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience with MS Office including advanced Excel skills.
  • Must be able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to strategically compose and write a compelling narrative.
  • Has the drive and takes initiative to learn about the technicalities and nuances of the various disciplines of the entire buildings team.
  • Ability to prepare and present materials graphically would be an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
