The Role

Overview

Part-time driver transporting senior residents to appointments and events.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition. -Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor. -Complete a safety check of the applicable vehicle, (i.e., car or bus) before transporting residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments. -Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out. -Transport vehicle(s) to service locations for routine preventive maintenance on vehicle(s) as scheduled by supervisor. -Immediately notifies supervisor of resident concerns, problems, or incidents. -Picks up and delivers residents to all scheduled activities and appointments where transportation is needed. -Notify supervisor of necessary repairs and vehicle malfunctions. -Make miscellaneous runs for administration errands as necessary. -Accurately records vehicle mileage and resident attendance for all scheduled transportation.

What You Bring

-High school education required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. -Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with the residents always. -Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified. -Must be able to interpret and follow map directions. -Passenger Endorsement (Required) -Driver's License (Required)
