The Role

Overview

Student Site Engineer for industrial placement, supporting construction site operations

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Arrange testing of materials -Undertake Surveying and setting out duties -Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines -Other duties as required by the Site Manager to facilitate construction of the works -Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to -Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility -Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used -Assist in scheduling of materials -Check drawings and quantities -Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are maintained -Liaise with any consultants and sub-contracts engaged in the project as necessary -Keep a Site Diary

What You Bring

-Demonstrate an understanding of construction management practices -Able to demonstrate problem solving. -Demonstrate strong communication skills -Previous work experience specifically in Construction industry. -Ability to work independently or as part of a team. -An appreciation of Health & Safety practices. -Currently undertaking a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline -Strong IT Skills -Full UK Driving License -Fully interact with other members of the construction site team
