Tasks

-Manage ad-hoc cost issues as they arise and implement preemptive risk mitigation strategies. -Provide guidance on macroeconomic variables, such as tariffs, to mitigate supply chain risks and costs. -Support contract drafting, review, and negotiation to guarantee favorable terms and pricing. -Work closely with Supplier Industrialization Engineering on supplier selection, BOM optimization, and owning supplier relationships. -Participation in drafting supply chain agreements (Master/General Purchase -Scope out suppliers for critical materials and chemicals, particularly to support cell operations. -Support supplier selection by presenting hard and soft benefits of introducing particular partners to the supply chain. -Ownership of supplier cost-down negotiations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. -Give feedback to internal stakeholders on product availability and driving requirements alignment. -Secure the supply chain through multi-sourcing and increasing capacity at supplier locations.

What You Bring

-Previous work developing cost models to support sourcing strategies. -Ability to travel domestically and internationally 20%, on average. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain management is required, or evidence of exceptional ability through relevant industry experience. -Strong project management skills to align internal and external stakeholders. -Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a sourcing role in the manufacturing industry. -Experience developing long-term supply chain partnerships and agreements. \ -At least 1 year supporting supply chain functions in the battery industry. -Experience qualifying suppliers through structured frameworks such as APQP.
