Cost Engineer

Analyze project costs, develop budgets, monitor projections, and manage audits.

Tasks

-Identify any Projected cost overages and help in development of recovery plans -Develop/Review/Discuss with Project Team their monthly projections vs project Plan -Manage Project Audits with Project Team with Outside Auditors as needed -Identify Negative Trends (Project or Company Wide) prior to Effecting Profitability -Develop/Review/Discussion with Project Team their Staff, Equipment and Expense Charts -Review each Project’s key contract terms in the development of Project budgets -Development/Maintenance/Review of monthly / weekly productivity reports -Discussions/Review with Select Projects concerning controlling cost in projections as needed

What You Bring

-Knowledge/coursework in project management, commercial real estate and/or construction is preferred, but not required -Careful attention to detail and reliability of output -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word is required -Self Starter, ability to work independently to Achieve Common Objectives -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university -3 plus years of experience -Highly motivated individual with strong work ethic and organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with coworkers -Strong quantitative, analytical and financial modeling skills -Comprehension of job cost management , concepts and methodologies
