Tasks
Financial Reporting and Compliance Our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and strategy of Randall and its various business units. This role involves managing financial planning, risk management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to drive the company's financial success and growth. -Manage cash flow to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity for operations and investments. -Build and maintain relationships with business unit leaders, lenders, and other financial stakeholders. -Negotiate financing terms and agreements to support company growth and operations. -Oversee the training, and development of financial staff. -Implement strategies to optimize asset utilization and return on investment. -Represent the company in internal and external financial discussions and presentations. -Maintain compliance with all financial regulations, including tax laws and reporting requirements. -Work with external auditors, tax professionals, and bonding/insurance providers to ensure proper coverage, implementation and compliance. -Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's and specific business units’ goals and objectives. -Conduct contract risk assessments to identify potential financial liabilities. -Oversee insurance coverage and surety bonding to protect the company from unforeseen events. -Integration with project management teams for real-time updates -Oversee the management of company assets, including real estate, equipment, and investments. -Analyze financial data and market trends to inform strategic decisions. -Designing and monitoring systems to control labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs -Oversee the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. -Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects and operations. -Promote collaboration and effective communication within the finance team and across departments / business units. -Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. -Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.

What You Bring
ERP and Accounting Software Expertise This is primarily an office position and, as such, you must be able to sit up to six or more hours in an eight-hour workday, lift light objects such as files and paperwork frequently during the day, and objects weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally during the day. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job. Excel and Data Analytics -Mastery of job costing methods -Deep knowledge of job costing, WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules, percentage-of-completion accounting, and retention billing -10+ years of experience in financial management in commercial construction. -Understanding of cost codes, cost-to-complete, and earned value analysis -Experience with construction-specific KPIs, e.g., backlog, margin fade/gain, overhead absorption -Solid knowledge database of processes and procedures to track and manage project job costing and business unit profitability. -Advanced use of Excel skills: pivot tables, v-lookups, dashboards -High level proficiency in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting & finance. -Knowledge of ComputerEase (preferable) -Deep knowledge of construction industry financial practices and regulations. -Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. -Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. -Proven Track record of success in strategic financial planning and management. -Expertise in revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion, completed contract), muti-state taxes, managing sales/use tax, retainage, and/or tax requirements
