Overview

Lead design & construction of water/wastewater infrastructure for municipal projects.

Tasks

-Perform conceptual and detailed design and hydraulic calculations and analyses. -Serve as resident engineer during construction to ensure contract design and specifications are followed. -Provide engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications, and coordinate with project teams. -Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. -Review submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings; respond to requests for information. -Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on all reports and design projects. -Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents.

What You Bring

-Moderate noise levels and occasional work near active construction sites. -Strong client communication and project coordination skills. -Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within one year. -Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to perform fieldwork in varying outdoor conditions and on uneven terrain. -Combination of office and fieldwork, including exposure to variable weather conditions. -Familiarity with state and federal design and permitting requirements for municipal infrastructure. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word, and scheduling programs. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. -Frequent use of standard office and field equipment. -Ability to travel periodically (approximately 15% or more). -Experience managing small to mid-size design teams or serving as task lead on multi-disciplinary projects. -Ability to walk, stand, and perform light to moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. -Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. -5+ years of experience in planning and designing water/wastewater treatment, distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities. -Some regional travel may be required for project meetings and site visits.
