Scientist II

Orion Group

The Role

Overview

Develop and execute LC/MS bioanalysis for biologics PK/PD studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • lc/ms operation
  • data analysis
  • assay development
  • affinity purification
  • assay optimization
  • data communication

Tasks

-Communicate data interpretation internally and externally. -Operate and maintain LC/MS instruments to generate high-quality experimental data. -Analyze data and maintain detailed, accurate and comprehensive study documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks. -Perform affinity purification of therapeutic proteins (including but not limited to monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, antibody drug conjugates, antibody-siRNA conjugates, and fusion proteins) from biological matrices. -The main function of this position is to develop and implement LC/MS (liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry)-based bioanalysis and in vitro characterization assays for novel biologics entities. -Facilitate assay optimization and implementation to ensure laboratory capacity and data quality.

Requirements

  • lc/ms
  • mass spectrometry
  • qqq
  • qtof
  • liquid handling
  • chemistry

What You Bring

-Prior industry experience in drug discovery/development is preferred. In-depth understanding of PK, TK and PK/PD studies and corresponding bioanalytical assays as well as in vitro characterization assays is highly desired. -Experience on routine LC/MS-based bioanalysis to support in vivo PK, TK, and PK/PD studies -Highly motivated, self-driven and results-oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of working both as a team player and individual contributor. -Hands-on experience with automated liquid handling systems is highly desired. -Hands-on experience with oligonucleotide analysis is highly desired. -Hands-on experience with QQQ (SCIEX), qTOF (Agilent, Bruker, SCIEX) and/or Orbitrap (Thermo) mass spectrometers is highly desired. -Degree in chemistry, pharmacology or other related fields. BS with 5+ years or MS with 2+ years in a pharmaceutical industry setting with a focus on mass spectrometry.
